We knew that once we successfully receive the purchase order from customer, it is our responsibility to ensure our process flow allows the quickest delivery without sacrificing quality.
To be able to achieve the targeted delivery date, each and every processes need to execute smoothly without any delay. Communication between staffs is very important.
During weekly meetings, the entire management team sit down and check on the status of tool making. It is where Plastolin team decides which jobs are ahead or behind, where to re-prioritize as needed, where to assign more resources.
STEP 1 : Introduction During this stage customer arrives with an idea, rough sketch or a mock up part. Our engineers will work closely with customer in product design and quality development to ensure your products do comply with your stringent standard, specification and quality. We also help customers with material selection considering the application of the product.
STEP 2 : Consultation
Request information from Customer for quotation
- Plastic Product Characteristic.
- Injection Machine Specification (For Mould Only)
- Gate runner system preference (For Mould Only)
- Mold base preference (For Mould Only)
- Surface finish preference
- Type of material in tool components (For Mould Only)
- Delivery and payment methods.
STEP 3 : Design and DevelopmentDiscuss tooling characteristic
- Moldability product design.
- Gate runner system solution.
- Mold base size.
Use modern CAE/CAD/CAM tools to come out with:
- Final drawing for customer check & approval
- Assembly drawing
- Detail drawing
- Cam programming
- Plastic flow analysis
STEP 4 : PrototypeWe develop prototype of developed part by machining of polymer blocks or 3D printing and send it to customer for checking the dimensions and to make any final modifications
STEP 5 : Procurement of Raw Material Mold base, steel raw materials and mold accessories are purchased according to customer requirement.
If customer doesn’t specify the above, quality if our first preference in purchase mold component in the tools.
STEP 6 : Mould Fabrication
The company uses high speed precision machines such as Fanuc, Okuma, Makino (Japanese machines) and HARFTFORD for mold making machinery.
STEP 7 : Mould Assembly Experience tool makers perform tool fitting and assembling in sequence after prioritized tool components has been manufacture
STEP 8 : Mould testing and Sample production
At least two mold trials will be conducted to ensure plastic product meet customer requirement.
STEP 9 : Sampling We send samples of the final product to the customers to check surface finish, dimensions and strength of the product. We can also make the last moment change in design if possible.
STEP 10 :Transportation is done base on customer requirement.
